Bruce Springsteen Down Under In 2017, Aussie Icons Jet Reform To Support
One of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s greatest living legends, Bruce Springsteen, is heading back to our shores with the E Street Band in tow for a seven show run that is sure to blow fans away. His first visit since 2014, The Boss and band will be ushering in the worldwide phenomenon that has been ‘The River’ Tour, which Aussie fans have been foaming at the mouth for a taste of.
Known for marathon setlists often clocking close to four hours, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have cemented themselves as one of music’s greatest performing acts.
Springsteen is gearing up to release his autobiography, titled “Born To Run”, at the end of September and audio companion/greatest hits compilation “Chapter And Verse”, which contains five never-heard-before tracks.
Alongside the tour announcement comes the news that Melbourne legends Jet are jumping back into the game for a select number of shows with The Boss, including Melbourne, Hanging Rock (Mt Macedon), and The Hunter Valley.
As one of Australia’s most successful rock bands in history, Jet’s debut record “Get Born” reached 10x platinum certification in Australia, as well as earning platinum in the USA and UK. The album contained a string of hugely successful singles, including Are You Gonna Be My Girl, Rollover DJ, and Look What You’ve Done. After calling it a day in 2012, and refusing to reform despite frequent requests, Jet are back for what is sure to be an incredible run of shows.
“Chapter and Verse” and “Born To Run” are set for release on the 23rd and 27th of September, respectively. Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band bring ‘The River’ Tour to Australian shores in early 2017.
