BURLAP Are Far From Burning Out With New Album & Tour
After almost two years since their last demo, Sydney post-hardcore 4-piece BURLAP have released their debut album ‘Burnout King’.
Overflowing with influences from Swans and Pissed Jeans through their grinding heavy bass and rhythmic percussion, this album is a easy slide between genre, mood, and intensity.
Since their 2014 demo release, BURLAP have really honed in on their dinge-punk sound. The 4-piece are a little heavy, a little noisy, and a little dark, but all at the same time not taking themselves too seriously.
The first released track from their debut album Good Boy is a great piece of unnerving noise that serves to rile you all up. The backing instrumentation rumbles and churns, while the vocals are snarl-lipped and rough.
The band’s vocalist Tom McEwen said “[The] Burnout King [tour] is special in the way that it’ll be the most shows we’ll be playing on actual stages”
‘Burnout King’ is guaranteed to throw you into a intense surge of thrashing, stomping and all out head-banging.
