CAMP COPE Announce Debut Album & Tour To Celebrate
Indie-punkers CAMP COPE are finally releasing their debut album and they’ve announced a 5-date tour to coincide! The band have been creating a stir in Melbourne’s punk scene in the lead up to their highly-anticipated self-titled album.
Earlier this month CAMP COPE played 11 Australian shows supporting Jeff Rosenstock and performed songs from their forthcoming debut, including lead single Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams.
The upbeat track provides a refreshing take on street harassment and how it’s treated in society from a female perspective. The unique, raw vocals are reminiscent of a slightly-more-aggressive Missy Higgins, and the singer’s heartfelt delivery is the perfect complement to the song’s honest lyrics: “they say the only thing that stops a bad man with a gun is a good man with a gun”.
If catchy, clever indie-punk is your thing, don’t miss these guys when they head out on tour this May!
