Catfish & The Bottlemen Finally Drop New Music!

catfish and the bottlemen

Welsh 4-piece Catfish and the Bottlemen have finally dropped their new single Soundcheck which is their first new song since 2014’s monumentally successful album ‘The Balcony’.

The song strips things back to basics in terms of rock music by simply combining guitar, bass, drums, and vocals the old school way.  In short, Soundcheck is just a really good classic brit-rock song.

Soundcheck has a similar feeling to the likes of The Kooks and The Strokes, both of which clearly shine through as musical influences of the new track.

Their debut album ‘The Balcony’ has sold over 210,000 copies in the UK alone and they have recently been nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the Brit awards as well as three NME awards.

Catfish and the Bottlemen were due to play Splendour in the Grass in 2015 but had to pull out due to ‘exhaustion’.  They were in Australia earlier in 2015 to support The Kooks. They have a whole series of festival its lined up across the UK and US for later in the year but when they will return to Down Under is unknown.
