Chance The Rapper Leads Perth’s Huge Origin NYE Lineup
It’s been an incredible wait for Aussie fans of Chance the Rapper, but finally after months of speculation it’s been confirmed. After pulling out of Eminem’s 2014 Rapture festival it almost seemed like he was never going to make the journey down under. But now thanks to Perth’s largest New Years party, Origin NYE, the time has finally come!
Dropping their biggest line-up so far, Origin will be headlined Chance the Rapper alongside UK electronic legends Chase & Status and grime pioneer/Boy Better Know co-founder JME along with What So Not, George Maple, Denzel Curry, and many more!
For the overseas artists, this surely can’t be a trip over for just a single show. Luckily for us, Australian New Years and summer festivals have a history of sharing artists, so let’s hope we some of these acts scattering around!
In terms of a Brisbane show, it’s quite likely artists like JME and What So Not will be seen on the 2017 FOMO festival bill. FOMO last year managed to trade several artists with Origin NYE, the likes of RL Grime, Boys Noize, Skepta, and Keys N Krates all featured on both the lineups.
