Chicago’s Golden Boy Into It. Over It. (Finally) Drops Aussie Tour

After a handful of albums, acoustic collections, and touring everywhere BUT Down Under, Chicago’s best kept secret Into It. Over It. are finally heading to Australia for a run of shows.

The moniker of prolific indie-rocker Evan Weiss, Into It. Over It. are riding high on the release of their third studio album ‘Standards’, which has received plenty of praise over in ‘the States and is our Editor’s “new favourite album AND band” (he got on the bandwagon a little late).

It’ll be Weiss and co.’s first trip Down Under, with fans eager to experience the band’s mix of raw emotive, hard hitting alt-rock and gorgeous acoustic ballads.

Over the past decade Weiss has been relentlessly touring and writing, producing amazing alt-rock that often teeters into pop-rock territory. His emotive vocal delivery and lyricism has seen them earn a cult-rock hero status throughout North America.

Weiss’ vocal tone is also VERY similar to Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, so fans of their dreamy indie-rock should easily find solace in the Chicago rockers’ deep discography…

Their latest album ‘Standards’ sees Weiss perfectly blend their emo alt-rock sound on their 2011 debut album ‘Proper’ with their slower, almost folky-rock on their 2013 sophomore album ‘Intersections’. Singles Closing Argument, Adult Contempt, and No EQ see Into It. Over It. deliver some of their best songs to date and project both maturity and well-judged experimentation in Weiss’ songwriting.

Into It. Over It. will be supported by Jess Locke in Melbourne and Zzzounds in both Sydney and Melbourne.
