CLAMM Announce New Album Serious Acts and Drop Explosive Single ‘And I Try’

Melbourne/Naarm punk trio CLAMM have officially announced their third studio album, Serious Acts, set for release on May 30. To kick off this next chapter, the band has unleashed its powerful opening track, And I Try, giving fans a first taste of their evolving sound.

Known for their raw energy and socially charged lyricism, CLAMM’s latest single experiments with metallic loops and a layered, spacious production, marking a fresh direction for the trio. Frontman Jack Summer delivers a commanding vocal performance, tackling themes of identity, transformation, and self-perception in a world of constant change.

‘This track was a bit of an experiment for us. We began by layering synthesised metallic loops and organically built the song from there. It introduces a slightly new sonic direction—tense yet spacious. Lyrically, it delves into themes of identity, transformation, and introspection, questioning how we perceive and present ourselves, and the extent of control we truly have over that process.’ CLAMM.

The album announcement also comes with the reveal of a huge EU/UK tour, solidifying CLAMM’s growing international presence. Before heading overseas, they’ll perform at PBS’ Drive Live 2025 and a free hometown show at Punters Club with CIVIC. With Serious Acts on the horizon, CLAMM continue to push the boundaries of modern punk, proving they’re one of Australia’s most exciting underground acts.
