Cloud Nothings Fresh Single “Modern Act” Gets You Dancing

Cloud Nothings are back just in time for the warmer weather! The indie-rockers announced an upcoming album, ‘Life Without Sound’, by unleashing their debut single Modern Act on unsuspecting fans!

Modern Act is a dreamy dance tune that’s fresher than a fruit salad, and its uptempo beats, mixed with a healthy dose of breezy guitar melodies keep the song bouncy. Frontman Dylan Baldi offers up the ultimate vocals, his bubbly tones interwoven with gruff, energetic choruses. Clean, twinkling guitars keep the song in summer mode while the drum acrobatics and cymbal beats will get your feet tapping!

It’s hard not to love this tune, and it’s safe to say Cloud Nothings are as fun as ever. “This record is like my version of new age music; it’s supposed to be inspiring,” Baldi says of the upcoming album. Well they’re off to a good start with Modern Act!

The quartet hail from Cleveland, USA and have been spreading good vibes since they formed in 2008. The group have a distinctly indie-rock sound with dance elements, and their songs are the perfect backdrop for summer days spent sucking on icy poles and soaking up the sunshine.

Cloud Nothings last toured Australia back in 2014 following the release of their album ‘Here and Nowhere Else’. No new Aussie shows have been announced just yet, but here’s hoping they promise some with the release of their new record.

‘Life Without Sound’ is currently set to drop in January 2017, just in time for the balmy summer days. Bring it on!
