Crash and Burn Release Genre-Crossing Heavy Single
Melbourne prog-rock outfit Crash and Burn have released the music video for their latest single Sever of their upcoming dual-track release in April.
The music video shows the 4-piece rocking out, shot from the waist up, inside a smokey back-lit dark room. The footage flashes between a scene of an angry man walking through a grassy field while smashing objects with a wooden baseball bat.
The groovy prog-rock vibe is definitely head-banging material, with the vocals broken up by plenty of heavily distorted guitar. The interesting guitar rhythms and Korn-esque drum beats help the smooth Karnivool-esque vocals.
Bassist Eric Stock states Crash and Burn have produced the “heaviest and fattest sound [they have] ever punched out. [They] couldn’t be happier and cannot wait to show everyone”.
Sever, along with their next single release Don’t Bury Me are set for release Friday 1 April.
