Cut Copy Release New Album Moments Featuring Kate Bollinger Collaboration ‘Belong To You’

Australian electronic pioneers Cut Copy have officially unveiled their long-awaited seventh studio album, Moments, out today. The release arrives alongside their brand-new single ‘Belong To You’, a stunning collaboration with American folk artist Kate Bollinger.

A GRAMMY-nominated and ARIA Award-winning group, Cut Copy return with a record that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. Moments draws inspiration from early hip hop, proto-house, punk disco and electro, blending unexpected styles into a sonic journey that balances dancefloor euphoria with reflective storytelling. From atmospheric interludes to explosive synth-pop and trip-hop textures, the album captures the ups and downs of life through a series of genre-bending soundscapes.

Speaking on Belong To You, frontman Dan Whitford explained that the track explores the idea of finding love where it’s least expected.

“Belong To You was one of the first tracks I wrote for our new album. And even as an instrumental, it immediately felt like a pop song waiting to happen. The song is written about a guy who obsesses about past mistakes without realising that the love he’s searching for has been right in front of him all along.”

Featuring Bollinger’s angelic vocals and a signature pedal steel performance from “Evil” Graham Lee of The Triffids, the single delivers a dreamy yet emotionally resonant duet.

The album also includes fan favourites ‘Solid’, ‘Still See Love’, and the expansive title track Moments, which showcase the band’s trademark ability to fuse lush production with raw emotion.

To celebrate the release, Cut Copy will perform a run of Australian shows this September, including sold-out hometown shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, before heading to the US in November.

Moments sees Cut Copy reaffirm their place as one of Australia’s most influential electronic acts, continuing to push boundaries while uniting fans through music, connection and the dancefloor spirit.
