DMA’S Announce Debut Album Out February 2016
Sydney’s hottest new guitar-pop heroes DMA’S have announced the release date for their highly anticipated debut album “Hills End”.
Since releasing their debut single Delete in early 2014 the three friends from Newtown in Sydney’s inner west have been met with plenty of praise in both Australia and around the world.
Since releasing that single DMA’s have played at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Reading & Leeds, supported The Drums and TV On the Radio, and packed out their own headline shows here in Australia and across Europe and North America.
Their debut album “Hills End” was recorded and produced by guitarist Johnny Took and Dylan Adams in a cramped studio in Coogee over the summer of 2014/15 and mixed by Spike Stent, known for his work with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Massive Attack.
The 12-track album, a culmination of songs spanning the past four years, showcases the band’s unique talents in writing both anthematic and heartfelt tunes, masterfully blending Oasis style rock with a delivery that’s uniquely Australian.
Since its release in September Lay Down, the first single from “Hills End”, has achieved radio rotation here in Oz as well as in the UK and beyond.
Opening with driving drums, a super catchy guitar riff, and a fun anthematic chorus, Lay Down has all the elements of DMA’s the world has come to love.
DMA’S debut album “Hills End” will be released internationally on Friday 26th February.
