Drowning Pool Announce Australian Tour
Texas hard rock legends Drowning Pool are set to hit Australian shores for the first time in 15 years this July in support of their new album ‘Hellelujah.’ Set to be the band’s first ever headline tour of the country, having only played Big Day Out (rip) way back in 2002, the band promise to have crowds pulsating everywhere to their unapologetic heavy alt rock.
Most famous for their platinum selling album ‘Sinner’ as well as smash hit Bodies (featured in every contact sport tackle montage ever), Drowning Pool have never swayed too far from their nu-metal roots and their live performance is best described as a time machine to the early 2000s.
There is no doubt that Drowning Pool write tunes with live performances and crowd interaction in mind. Whether it be a pounding drum line to bounce to, crashing guitar riffs to accidentally elbow someone in the nose to, or just a catchy as hell chorus to lose your voice to, Drowning Pool know what makes fans go wild and stick to it.
‘Hellelujah’ is Drowning Pool’s second full length offering with latest vocalist Jason Moreno (formerly of The Suicide Hook). Moreno is the band’s fourth vocalist since founding member Dave Williams tragically died of cardiomyopathy back in 2002.
16 years in the making, Drowning Pool’s debut Australian tour promises to satisfy die-hard fan’s cravings for sweaty moshpits and intimate live performances that the band has become known for.
