Dulcie Detail Their Top 5 New Pop Artists

To celebrate their new single ‘Cold Hard Truth’, Dulcie have put together a shortlist of their favourite new pop artists.

‘Cold Hard Truth’ is another infectious bop from the girls that’s already been added to full rotation on Triple J and received plenty of praise from tastemakers. Talented in the art of weaving emotive stories through charming pop melodies, the Perth pop group have been making serious moves and capturing hearts this year with previous singles ‘nothing left’ and ‘tell ur friends’. Now surpassing 35,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone, they’ve taken their sound to the stage, recently returning from a national tour with Amy Shark, and now are in the last days of their own headline tour.

To get to know more about the girls and the music they’ve got playing over their speakers, they’ve detailed their top 5 new pop artists, check it out below!

Olivia Rodrigo:

I was lucky enough to see her play at Glastonbury recently and she really is as talented and incredible as she looks and sounds! We love her writing style, the way she captures emotion so perfectly and tells a story. She’s definitely a huge inspiration to all of us!

Ashe:

She’s an absolute powerhouse! We love her anthemic sound, it’s the perfect combination of singer/songwriter meets pop and it just makes you feel so good! There’s something nostalgic about Ashe, she’s classic and creative and absolutely wonderful!

Del Water Gap:

I think we’ve all listened to ‘Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat’ about a thousand times or more! His songs are so good you can’t wait for them to finish just so you can play them all over again!

Tate McRae:

We all love Tate Mcrae! She’s got such a recognisable flawless voice that suits her sound so well. Her music is so catchy and feel-good, especially “she’s all i wanna be”.

Holly Humberstone:

We fell in love with Holly Humberstone ever since her first song came out and have just gotten more and more obsessed ever since! The subtle electronic production behind such beautiful melodies just works so well. Don’t even get us started on how insane her voice is!
