Ed Sheeran Drops New Single ‘A Little More’ with Rupert Grint-Starring Music Video

Global pop superstar Ed Sheeran has returned with his brand-new single “A Little More”, out today alongside a cinematic music video that reunites him with Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint. The release is the latest preview of Sheeran’s upcoming album Play, set to arrive on September 12.

Fans across the globe have been on high alert this past week, piecing together cryptic social media clues after Grint mysteriously began posting from Ed’s official accounts. The speculation was put to rest with the release of “A Little More,” a lyrically witty, blues-tinged track that speaks to themes of self-preservation and moral courage.

Sheeran collaborated with a powerhouse team of writers and producers on the track, including DAVE (previously worked with Sheeran on “Nothing On You”), Blake Slatkin (Charli XCX, Kid LAROI), Cirkut (The Weeknd, Lil Nas X), and long-time collaborator Johnny McDaid. Production is helmed by Slatkin and Cirkut.

The official music video — directed by frequent Sheeran collaborator Emil Nava (Dua Lipa, Post Malone) — is a hilarious sequel to 2011’s viral hit “Lego House”. It sees Grint’s character released from prison, only to be haunted by Sheeran in increasingly surreal and comedic ways — including a jaw-dropping twist at his own wedding.

“A Little More” follows Ed Sheeran’s recent cross-cultural collaboration with Arijit Singh, “Sapphire”, which saw the pair blending Hindi, Punjabi, and English lyrics.

Ed Sheeran’s new album Play drops Friday, September 12.
