ELMAR Enters The Game With ‘Beneath My Skin’

Jack Froggatt, the Grammy-nominated voice of Mansionair, is stepping out with a new solo project under the name ELMAR, launching his debut single, Beneath My Skin. This new track blends electronic beats with folk-inspired melodies, capturing the essence of the ocean’s ebb and flow—a reflection of Jack’s deep connection to the coast.

Co-produced with Ross James (Upsidedownhead), Beneath My Skin marks a shift in Jack’s artistic journey, embracing a more personal and introspective sound. Written during a reflective period in his city apartment, the song was sparked by a simple guitar line that evoked memories of the ocean, surfing, and carefree camping adventures. Jack describes the track as an exploration of letting go of old habits and beliefs, paving the way for something new and transformative.

“Caved up in my inner-city apartment before the idea of starting the ELMAR project existed, I wrote a guitar line that sparked memories of the ocean, of surfing, and carefree camping trips with friends. That guitar line turned into ‘Beneath My Skin’ – a song about laying down old habits, feelings and beliefs, in hope for something new. A song about following a thread that’s telling you there’s a place beyond where you are that’s calling your name.” – Jack Froggatt, ELMAR.

ELMAR symbolises a fresh chapter for Jack, providing a creative sanctuary where he can reconnect with his musical roots. The name draws inspiration from Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea and the famous Café Del Mar compilations, nodding to Jack’s love for the ocean and surfing culture. As Jack embarks on this new path, fans can look forward to more music and exciting collaborations from ELMAR, promising a captivating journey ahead.
