Embark on a Hypnotic Journey with Anthony Forrest’s Debut Self-Titled Album

Anthony Forrest has revealed his much-anticipated self-titled debut album, it’s a hypnotic journey through electro-soul realms that captivate the senses and elevate the spirit. Embarking on this musical odyssey, Forrest leads listeners through eleven tracks that encapsulate his remarkable talent and diverse auditory palette.

With no singular overarching theme, the album instead finds cohesion in the exploration of space, both sonically and thematically. Synth bass and electronic drums provide a pulsating backbone, perfectly complementing the intricate layers of sound that emerge throughout the album’s progression.

Recorded and produced at So Soap studios in West End, the album’s creation was a labour of love spanning five years. Working closely with engineer and co-producer Peet Gardner, Forrest meticulously crafted each track, drawing from a treasure trove of song ideas, beat sketches, and synth sounds cultivated at home.

Collaboration played a pivotal role in shaping the album’s sonic landscape, with talented friends lending their expertise to add vibrant hues to the musical tapestry. Travis Jenkins contributed lush string arrangements, Peter Hunt infused soulful trumpet melodies, and Rohan Seekers brought his mastery of keyboards and synths to enrich the audio delivery.

One standout moment in the album’s creation is recounted in the quirky story behind the track “Get There.” After years of grappling with the song’s lyrics, Forrest enlisted the help of friend and collaborator Laneous, who effortlessly delivered a killer verse after a mere five-minute break in the restroom, leaving Forrest in awe of his lyrical prowess.

With its rich tapestry of sound, Anthony Forrest’s debut album is a testament to his artistry and a testament to the power of collaboration in creating music that resonates deeply with listeners. It’s available now, everywhere.
