Emerauld Turns Up the Volume With Defiant New Single ‘Loud Mouth’

Adelaide’s rising indie firecracker Emerauld has dropped her boldest track yet with new single ‘Loud Mouth’. At just 20, the singer-songwriter proves she’s not afraid to speak her mind and this song is a brash, hook-filled anthem destined to dominate Australian playlists this summer.

‘Loud Mouth’ is a riotous mix of indie grit and punk-inspired energy, anchored by Emerauld’s powerhouse vocals. The track barrels forward with soaring choruses and cheeky sing-along moments, landing somewhere between sweaty mosh-pit chaos and tongue-in-cheek protest. It’s a song that refuses to blend into the background, demanding attention from the first note to the last.

Lyrically, the single taps into anger, exhaustion and resilience in the face of relentless bad news cycles. It’s both a rallying cry and a cathartic release, embracing the idea that sometimes the best response to injustice is to raise your voice, loudly. Speaking on the single, Emerauld explains: “‘Loud Mouth’ really says something and doesn’t hold back. I also use humour as both armor and an outlet. It’s part protest, part punchline and all about refusing to stay quiet.”

There’s also an edge of playful absurdity, with surreal lines like dreaming her teeth fall out mid-song. It’s chaotic, unapologetic, and completely Emerauld.

Following recognition from some of the country’s biggest tastemakers and a standout WOMAD performance earlier this year, Emerauld is carving out her place as one of Australia’s most exciting new talents and with Loud Mouth, she’s cementing herself as an artist unafraid to make noise and make it unforgettable.

Loud Mouth is available now, everywhere.
