Everything Everything Announce Aus Tour W/ The Vaccines

Everything Everything and UK indie rockers The Vaccines are banding together for a whirlwind co-headline tour this May, playing shows in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Marking their first return to Australia since 2018, art-pop adventurers Everything Everything are set to perform hypnotic hits from their sensational discography with tracks like Cough, Cough’, ‘Distant Past’ and ‘No Reptiles’.

Described as “A riot in a melody factory”, the Manchester band formed in 2007 and quickly turned heads with their eclectic and genre-defying sound, breaking ground with their debut album ‘Man Alive’ in 2010, their sophomore album ‘Arc’ in 2013, their highly praised album ‘Get To Heaven’ in 2015 and critically acclaimed albums since.

On their most recent 2022 album, ‘Raw Data Feel’ the band created an AI program and fed it the entire terms and conditions of LinkedIn, the ancient epic poem Beowulf, 400,000 4Chan forum posts and the teachings of Confucius – and used its responses as a basis for the record’s lyrics, song titles and artwork creation.

Renowned for their visionary fusion of dystopian ‘Black Mirror’-style concepts with songs which blur the boundaries of experimentation and art-pop accessibility Everything Everything return with their highly anticipated seventh album ‘Mountainhead’ out March 1. Introduced by the lead single ‘Cold Reactor’, the album sees the band continue to hurtle their creative adventures into new realms.

Known for their electrifying shows, Australian crowds will get to experience tracks from their forthcoming album ‘Mountainhead’ live for the first time.

Don’t miss your chance to catch indie rock icons

Returning to Australia for the first time since 2019, The Vaccines are bringing their glistening and gritty anthems with singalongs like ‘If You Wanna’, ‘Nogaard’, ‘I Always Knew’, ‘Want You So Bad’ and loads more from their stellar discography.

Breaking through in 2011 with their debut album ‘What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?’, the West London outfit was awarded NME’s Best New Band that same year and has gone on to become one of the most adored English indie rock bands.

“There’s a difference between having fun and being happy”, says frontman Justin Young. And in the space between fun and happiness lies the sixth newly released Vaccines album, ‘Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations’. “It’s an album that drips with fun – ten songs packed with hooks and melodies and pop smarts – but which explores the way real life lets us down, no matter what we tell the world on our Instagram stories.”

The Guardian has praised the album for its “boisterous widescreen anthems and big singable choruses” and will have fans singing along to ‘Heartbreak Kid’, ‘Lunar Eclipse’ and ‘Sometimes, I Swear’.
