Feedback Conference Aims To Get Young People Into The Music Industry

Feedback

Are you a musical young person? Are you feeling like its difficult to get into in the industry? Then Feedback, VIVID festival’s youth-oriented music conference, may be the place to go if you need a boost!

Designed to help young people by presenting a range of speakers and professional networking opportunities, this year’s event isn’t shying away from helping younger folk get into the industry. The conference will be hosted by triple j’s Home and Hosed’s presenter Dom Alessio at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

Thundamentals will be the keynote speakers for the conference and Thelma Plum will be presenting a songwriting session focusing on crafting the perfect love song.

There will also be two panels at Feedback 2016. ‘Epic Fails’ will be discussing those times when just a little bit too much sh*t hit the fan, hosted by Bluejuice’s Jake Stone, Little May’s Annie Hamilton, Andy Bull, Publicist and FBI Radio host Sweetie Zamora, and independent music label Sureshaker’s Neal Hunt.

‘Just the One of Us’ will explore the perks and pitfalls of being a self-managed musician, and will feature DJ and triple j presenter KLP, rapper L-Fresh The Lion, indie-tronica artist Yeo, booking agent Katie Rynne, and Julia Wilson of Australian independent label Rice is Nice.

These panels and speeches will be accompanied by the chance to chat with a huge range of professionals in the industry from publicity and media to artists and managers. You’ll even get the chance to look longingly and professionally into the eyes of your career soulmate with industry speed dating sessions.
