Fire Night Returns To Black Bear Lodge For Round III

Fire Night III, which is fast becoming Brisbane’s premiere night for local hip-hop acts, will be returning to Black Bear Lodge on Thursday 10 March. Having already presented the likes of Gallu$, Erik Sanders, TJ, and Jesswar, it’s safe to say that Fire Night III doesn’t disappoint when it comes to lineups. This time they’ve snagged Savilian, Tides, Velcro Raptor, and Symian.

Savilian

That’s right, the good folks at Fire Night have managed to steal Newtown (NSW) rapper Savilian away from his East Coast EP tour for the night. Since hitting the scene in 2009, Savilian has shared the stage Pez and Seth Sentry and performed at Big Day Out (2013) as well as Mountain Sounds Festival (2016). Now with five releases under his belt, his live show is not one to miss!

Tides

Brisbane newcomer Tides emerged in 2012 and since then has crafted a unique sound and dropped his first EP ‘Breathe’. While not working on his upcoming release ‘Vertigo’, Tides has been busy collaborating in the studio, most recently on the track Good Morning with Melbourne producer Sunday. Tides will be bringing some more relaxed vibes to Fire Night III and is definitely one to keep an eye on in 2016.

Velcro Raptor

Brisbane’s very own Velcro Raptor will also be bringing their special kind of face-melting bass and feel good hip-hop bangers. The duo only dropped their debut album ‘Thick Shake’ in September last year which featured their killer collaboration with Brisbane folk goddess Sahara Beck, Howlin’. Since then they’ve been back at work and already have a stack of new tracks in store for fans and big plans for 2016.

Symian

Another new arrival to the Brisbane scene Symian, who dropped his debut mixtape ‘LVX KVLT’ in August last year, will also be joining the Fire Night party. Kicking off the night with his deadly lyrics and modern house/dance production, Symian is also set to drop new work this year. His set at Fire Night could be the chance to hear what are sure to be some new favourites.

If that wasn’t enough, special guest DJ, KRAZNOV, who also put together Fire Night III’s artwork, will also be hitting the decks in between sets.

Doors will open at 7.30pm with tickets available on entry for $15 and presale tickets for $10.
