First Lineup Drop For Mountain Sounds Festival 2018

Update 12/01 9.15am: For months, organisers behind Mountain Sounds Festival has been teasing a secret headliner to join such huge acts as Grouplove, Gang of Youths, Safia and more. No ‘Strangers’ to the festival circuit, Peking Duk have been named as the lucrative secret headliner!
Update 3/10 10.45am: Mountain Sounds Festival has announced a run of second artists for its already stacked bill. Joining the likes of Gang of Youths and Grouplove will be Safia, Touch Sensitive, Jimmy 2 Sox and a handful more. See the full lineup below.
Original Story: Last week, organisers of Mountain Sounds Festival announced its return, promising a bigger, better and larger lineup for its fifth birthday edition of the event. Announcing Grouplove as the first on the bill, Mountain Sounds has now dropped another round of artists.
All coming from our great Southern land, filling the remainder of the lineup will be the Preatures, Amy Shark, Gang of Youths, Ali Barter, Alex the Astronaut, Kirin J. Callinan, just to name a few. As you’ve noticed, there’s still a spot open for a “secret headliner,” cluing us in as one of Australia’s biggest live acts.
A new addition to Mountain Sounds is the Electric Lady stage. Partnering with Jack River and Collective Artists, the second stage will boast and all-female lineup on the Friday of the festival including Tia Gostelow, Exhibitionist, Elaskia, Little Quirks and more.
The two-day event descends on the Central Coast’s Mount Penang Gardens runs from Friday 16 February to Saturday 17.
The second lineup announcement is promised to drop on Tuesday 3 October and ticket pre-sale registration is open now. Scope the lineup as well ticketing information below.
