Flow Kobra Reveal New Single ‘Roll It Over’ and Announce New EP
Following their widely praised release, ‘GUNDA‘, Woolyungah/Wollongong-based trap-metal band Flow Kobra have announced their forthcoming EP ‘FLY TO THE SKY‘ – due out Friday, May 30. Alongside this announcement is their next single, ‘ROLL IT OVER‘ – produced and mixed by Jacob Wilkes(Above, Below).
‘ROLL IT OVER’ is a cathartic explosion of nostalgic nu-metal, led by the invigorating delivery of lead vocalist Kobe Stimson. The track opens with the band’s trademark amalgamation of visceral, thudding bass lines and chunking guitar leads as it builds into grand, singalong choruses. The band show versatility through a reserved, sombre bridge before launching into a thrashing finale with reckless abandon.
Kobe explains the inspiration behind ‘ROLL IT OVER’:
“‘ROLL IT OVER’ marks a new chapter for us, leaving behind the dark grittiness of ‘CRINGE CLIQUE‘ for a more uplifting and euphoric journey. The track embodies the resilience of making it through life’s storms to reach a blissful state, embracing hope and transformation.”

Following this release, the band will perform mini-festivals Gongcore and Darkside Fest in their hometown of Woolyungah/Wollongong, with the latter featuring luminaries Windwaker, Alienist, Sienna Skies and Heists, among others. This continues on from playing Lutruwita/Tasmania’s Party In The Paddock this year alongside Empire Of The Sun and Amyl and the Sniffers, and playing multiple hometown headline shows.
Last year, Flow Kobra released their debut album ‘CRINGE CLIQUE’, following on from their debut EP,’TRUE COLOURS TURN BLACK‘ in 2022. Taking cues from luminaries Ocean Grove, Limp Bizkit andIncubus, Flow Kobra creates a unique blend of hardcore, metal, punk and trap that lyrically centres around personally dark experiences while aiming not to take themselves too seriously. Kobe adds, “Some of the lyrical content is about dark topics, but for the most part, we don’t want to take ourselves too seriously. There are so many inside jokes within the band now that we need to start making content and bringing our audience in on the memes.”
