Flume Hits The Mark With Rap-Infused Second Single

National electronic superstar Flume has dropped his latest single Smoke And Retribution, the second teaser from his highly anticipated sophomore album ‘Skin’.

The track features fellow Aussie Kučka who previously sang on A$AP Rocky’s Fashion Killa and Cosmo’s Midnight’s Walk With Me. American rapper Vince Staples also features on the track.

Smoke and Retribution picks up from where Holdin’ On left off, with heavy groove mixed with minimalistic production and glassy droning synthesizers.

The track is driven by stop-start, jaggered percussion in a way that only Flume could make work, complimenting a balancing act between Kučka’s beautiful vocals and Vince Staples’ delivery.

Whether Flume’s track-by-track method makes the wait easier or worse, this second single is definitely hitting the spot.
