Fool Nelson Return With Radiant New Indie Anthem ‘Bad Dreams’
After a sold-out national debut headline tour across Australia’s capital cities, rising WA indie-rock trio Fool Nelson are back with a reflective new single, ‘Bad Dreams’. Produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (Noah Dillon, Death by Denim), the track continues their streak of anthemic songwriting, blending shimmering guitar tones with emotionally charged vocals and nostalgic indie-rock energy.
‘Bad Dreams’ captures the rollercoaster of mental health struggles and the perspective-shifting power of anxiety, wrapped in warm, sun-soaked instrumentation and layered hooks. Frontman Tom Broadbent’s gritty yet heartfelt delivery soars over reverb-laced guitars, pulsing basslines and upbeat drums—creating a track that’s both introspective and uplifting. With lyrics exploring life’s darker moments, the band offers a hopeful reminder that even in the worst of times, clarity and appreciation can shine through.

The release follows Fool Nelson’s rapid ascent, coming off support slots with heavyweights like Ball Park Music, The Rions and Great Gable, and standout performances at Groovin the Moo, NYE On The Hill and more. They’ll join Skegss and The Buoys on the ‘TOP HEAVY’ national tour this June/July, with a West Coast detour to support Old Mervs.
