Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes Release Rocking New Music Video
Frank Carter is by no means a stranger to loud, guitar-driven music, having previously been in two groups that played such a style, Gallows and Pure Love. Interestingly enough, where these bands kept to a more hardcore/punk style, Carter’s new project has the vibe slowed to a more broadly palatable rock sound.
Though the thumping drums and crisp guitar style of Carter’s previous efforts remain, the newest single Snake Eyes is more reminiscent of something by the Arctic Monkeys, with cleaner vocals and less frantic sounding instrumentals. Carter and co. have definitely gone for a more rock direction than anything distinctly hardcore.
The music video for Snake Eyes is also an interesting addition to the band’s sound. It features a silhouetted woman dancing suggestably against a red backdrop of Carter singing. The interesting and seductive visual pairs well with the songs soaring tone and energy. As well as this, the minimalistic nature of the video means that the viewer’s focus is on the music rather than what is happening in the video.
Snake Eyes is the first release from the upcoming album by Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. The new album is currently unnamed, but will be coming later in 2016.
