FRNKIERO ANDTHE PATIENCE Announce Australian Tour

Frnkiero

FRNKIERO ANDTHE PATIENCE have announced they’ll be coming down under as part of their first ever Aussie tour. Frank Iero was here just a few months ago to perform free acoustic shows after the cancellation of Soundwave 2016, but this October will be the first time he’ll be here with his full band.

“When [album] ‘Stomachaches’ first came out one of the places I really wanted to bring the band to was Australia. And now we finally get to make it our first stop with a new record on the way. I truly couldn’t be happier,” said Iero.

Frank Iero first gained fame as the guitarist for 2000s emo powerhouse My Chemical Romance. ‘My Chem were responsible for worldwide emo anthems such as Welcome To The Black Parade and Teenagers from their breakthrough and Platinum-certified 2006 album ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’.

After My Chem’s breakup in 2013, Frank Iero started his punk rock solo project, releasing album ‘Stomachaches’ in 2014 under the previous moniker frnkiero andthe cellabration. After this release, Iero toured for almost two years, traveling to 17 countries.

‘Stomachaches’ saw Frank Iero taking on the role of lead vocals as well as playing every instrument on the album besides drums. The album was a slight departure in style from what fans were used to from Iero, with singles “waiting” and “joyriding” both having a thrashier, heavier punk sound than that of My Chem.

Make sure you check out the album, and if you dig it, catch FRNKIERO ANDTHE PATIENCE for their high energy show when they come to Oz later this year.
