FuzzPliot Release Smashing Debut Single
One of the latest heavy rock bands to surface from Brisbane’s music scene, FuzzPilot have emerged with all guns blazing for the release of their first single, Suppression. The three-piece have successfully combined the genres of heavy rock and alternative to create a sound reminiscent of heavyweights such as Faith No More, Kyuss, and Tool.
Like a fine wine, the undeniably aged sound of Supression only adds to its appeal. This track would not be out of place if it had been released 15 years ago, which is entirely a good thing. Fans of the classic 90’s alt-rock bands previously mentioned will love Suppression, as it is a no-bullsh*t take on rock music from this era, complete with catchy grooves, driving riffs and a dark aura.
Guitarist and vocalist Shaun Trainer has said the song is influenced by mental illness and the struggles surrounding it.
“’Suppression’ comes from a slightly darker place than we would usually look. It really delves into the depths of depression, and the struggle of understanding it, shedding light on the strength to overcome inner demons,” he said.
