G Flip Drops Explosive New Pride Anthem ‘Big Ol Hammer’ with Star-Studded Music Video
Beloved Australian indie-pop powerhouse G Flip has returned just in time for Pride Month 2025 with their boldest release yet — the electrifying, queer-celebratory single ‘Big Ol Hammer’. A high-energy, tongue-in-cheek anthem, the track blends cheeky humour with G Flip’s signature percussive flair and an unapologetically camp spirit.
Described by G as “the queerest song I’ve ever written,” ‘Big Ol Hammer’ celebrates self-expression and queerness with pride and playfulness. The accompanying music video — a vibrant homage to Grease Lightnin’ — features G Flip and a crew of queer icons dancing through their very own “Lez Go! Auto Shop,” before a hilarious cameo by comedian Fortune Feimster steals the scene.
“This is probably the queerest song I’ve ever written. This song is about the feeling of putting on a tool belt with a big ol’ hammer – it’s camp, tongue-in-cheek, fun, and not to be taken too seriously. When I wrote it, I immediately knew I wanted to release it during Pride.” – G Flip.
