GLVES Releases Debut EP Belonging – A Powerful Statement of Identity, Healing and Resilience

Rising alt-pop artist and AAA Backstage favourite GLVES has today unveiled her much-anticipated debut EP, Belonging, a bold and transformative four-track project that cements her as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices.

Belonging is a deeply personal exploration of post-traumatic growth, identity and ancestry, weaving raw storytelling with atmospheric alt-pop soundscapes. Across the EP, GLVES transforms pain into possibility, embracing colour, softness and truth in a world that often demands hardness.

The release features fan favourites ‘Echo’, ‘Honesty’ and ‘Time’, alongside the brand-new single ‘Lost’, co-written and produced with ARIA Award-winner Rob Amoruso. Written in the aftermath of the Voice referendum, Lost is the EP’s most haunting track, shifting from fragile intimacy to thunderous emotion, reflecting the ache of rejection while offering catharsis through sound.

“For a long time, I rejected flowers, I rejected softness. I thought it was weakness, that I had to lean into masculinity to be taken seriously. But flowers have always been part of my lineage… Through this EP, I’ve come to see that softness is its own strength, and that to bloom, even when you’ve known darkness, is a kind of power.”

A proud First Nations artist, GLVES has already lit up stages at Splendour in the Grass, Dark Mofo, Yabun, Blak Day Out and BIGSOUND 2025, earning praise for her immersive, multi-sensory performances.

Belonging will also be reimagined with a special remix pack featuring First Nations artists AROHA, Moss and Hylander, further showcasing the strength of community and collaboration.
