M83 Drop Super Fun Single “Go!”

French techno-rock lord M83 (Anthony Gonzalez) has our heads nodding and bodies wigglin’ with his new single Go!. It follows singles Do It, Try It and Solitude in the lead up to M83’s seventh full length studio album ‘Junk’.

The Frenchman has been pumping out albums since 2003, their sound bouncing from indie pop-rock to a noticeable electronic approach, as heard in his breakthrough 2011 album ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’. With French songstress Mai Lan on vocals and a very spirited guitar solo from Steve Vai, Go! is bubbling with spaced out funk and clean electronic production.

Gonzalez remarked that when working with Vai “we asked for the craziest space solo possible, which wasn’t hard for him”.

‘Junk’ is set for release this coming Friday, 8th April. The M83 clan has collaborated with musicians Beck and Susanne Sundfør on this album, making it one to look out for. Look below for Australian tour dates!
