Greater Good Artist Initiative Returns for 2024

Continuing strong in its fourth year, Eora/Sydney-based Music Services team Good Intent continue their philanthropic efforts with their independent artist initiative ‘Greater Good‘. In an effort to provide development to the next-gen, Greater Good gives a career-changing package to one exceptional act, including in-kind services and a cash grant totalling over $30,000 AUD.

The package welcomes fresh partners in Forbes Street StudiosJungle MerchandisePurple Sneakers and PHILTER, in addition to returning partners Zenith RecordsMedia Arts LawyersBilly ZammitPLAKKIT, White Sky and Ben Mitchell. The pack includes a $4,000 AUD cash grant to further develop their career. Not stopping there, the initiative provides additional services and guidance to shortlisted applicants.

“We’re very grateful to be in this position to connect the dots with our partners, and excited to welcome our industry panel full of people the team and I respect and look up to. The past few years we’ve discovered so many incredible artists from across the country, heard their stories and provided guidance to help develop their careers. The best part about this is we get to see the growth of the winners, and all applicants alike, it’s why we do what we do and we can’t wait to dive into more music in October. ” says Chief Operating Officer Rick Bridgman.

Greater Good also launches a fresh Industry Assessment Panel from key figures across the wider music landscape, to help assess applications and guide decision making, with Joe Muller (MusicNSW), Glenn Dickie (Sounds Australia), Jane Slingo (EMC / Young Strangers VibeLab), Dan Morgan (Astral People), Emmy Mack (RedHook / triple j), Jess Wust (Cult Artists) and Nic Kelly (Hit Network) joining the initiative.

“We were incredibly honoured to have been chosen for the Greater Good Initiative in 2023. This opportunity has significantly advanced our career by allowing us to make numerous industry connections and open doors to new opportunities. The financial support enabled us to record our EP with our favourite producer, Jack Nigro at Sonora Studios, a dream come true for us. The support from Good Intent during our releases earlier this year has been unparalleled. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Rick and the entire team for their invaluable assistance. Their dedication and belief in our music have been instrumental in our progress, and we are deeply grateful for their ongoing support.”
