Groovin The Moo Announces Dates and Venues for 2024
Prepare to request time off, rally your friends, and kick off the coordination for your road trips and festival attire because Groovin the Moo (GTM) is making its comeback to six regions across the country in April and May 2024, featuring an exhilarating new venue in NSW.
The GTM journey commences in Wayville, SA, on Thursday, April 25, with a poignant tribute to our ANZACs. The next stop is heading to the nation’s heart, Canberra, ACT, on Friday, April 26. The festival mooves south to the picturesque Bendigo, VIC, on Saturday, April 27, marking the conclusion of an unforgettable opening weekend.
In the subsequent weekend, the festival will find its way to the breathtaking new location nestled by the water in Foreshore Park, Newcastle, NSW, on Saturday, May 4. The Groovin festivities ascend to the sunny Sunshine Coast, QLD, on Sunday, May 5, accompanied by the added delight of a long weekend! Notably, the inaugural Sunny Coast event last year sold out within days. This year, they’re shifting slightly to a more expansive and central venue—the Sunshine Coast Stadium Precinct. Bringing the GTM tour to a vibrant close, we head to Bunbury for some West Australian fun on Saturday, May 11.
While Maitland Showground has been the longstanding home for GTM in NSW, a shift is underway based on ongoing feedback and discussions with attendees regarding transportation and accommodation preferences. Responding to the community’s input, the NSW segment is relocating to a more accessible venue that offers ample parking and a range of accommodation options, addressing the diverse needs of festival-goers.
“We’re really excited to be putting on a festival in Foreshore Park. Whilst Maitland has played a major part in the history of GTM, Newcastle’s transport and accommodation options will provide a better experience for our patrons. Foreshore Park is a stunning location and we look forward to calling it home.”- GTM Spokesperson.
