The Growlers Plot Their Return To Australia

Get your dad’s clothes ready because California’s favouite sons, the Growlers, are making their return to Australia this November. Coming off the back of their most resolute album, last year’s ‘City Club’, the five-piece are set to adorn Australian audiences with material from said record and old fan favourites.

Playing five shows around the country in November, the Growlers will be hitting Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne for a flash run of tour dates.

Employing a more Strokes-like sound on their latest release, 2016’s ‘City Club’, the Growlers attained a more deep approach to indie-rock and classic new wave while still retaining their signature beach goth growl that the band are so well renowned for. The new sound comes courtesy of none other than Julian Casablancas, having produced the band’s latest record.

Favouring the east coast of Queensland, the Californian five-piece aren’t strangers to Australia having made the trip down under supporting each of their new album releases. Gold Coast fans are treated yet again for another show with the band last performed at the Coolangatta Hotel in 2014.
