Hardcore Heroes Saviour Drop “The Quiet Calm” & Announce Tour

saviour

Perth hardcore heroes Saviour have just dropped a brand new track The Quiet Calm, the second taste of new music from their freshly rebooted lineup.

The Quiet Calm is an orchestral-meets-hardcore tune that has plenty of light and shade. Showcasing the talent of new clean vocalist Shontay Snow, the song is an emotional and haunting piece of metalcore goodness.

Snow’s raw vocals resonate well with the brutal screams of Byrant Best as The Quiet Calm rides a wave of energy and distorted guitar beefiness. It’s everything fans loved about Saviour before their hiatus, while still bringing a much needed twist to the traditional structure of modern hardcore.

The addition of new vocalist Shontay Snow has worked wonders since the 6-piece have returned to the scene, following their break up in 2014. Before they called it quits, Saviour were riding high following their debut album ‘First Light To My Death Bed’, however the sudden decision for an indefinite hiatus left the wider hardcore fanbase reeling on social media.

Frontman Bryant Best says The Quiet Calm is a time capsule in the evolution of Saviour.

The Quiet Calm is a track that I think represents Saviour’s sound very well, a mixture of delicate and energy. The track is quite personal and can be summed up with the line “Everything I left unsaid”. I never realised how important communicating was until recently when it became a demon of mine,” said Best.

In celebration of the new track, Saviour will be taking The Quiet Calm on tour around Australia in November with hardcore newcomers Belle Haven and Stepson. Fans will also have the opportunity to catch the band in full flight at UNIFY 2017.
