Harley Girl Drops Infectious Single ‘do it like that’
Emerging Gold Coast producer Harley Girl has arrived in style with his new single, do it like that, a high-energy club track set to light up dance floors. The project, spearheaded by songwriter and producer Connor Grant (aka Akurei), blends house and breakbeat influences.
Harley Girl has taken an unconventional approach to music production, crafting his tracks from the front seat of his 2018 Hyundai Kona during breaks at his day job. His unique process has already delivered four club-ready singles, with do it like that marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

“do it like that is the latest track i’m sharing from my 2018 Hyundai Kona. In all seriousness, my philosophy for this track, and all the stuff I’m working on has been constraint – whether that be time, space or both. Lately, I find the most exciting ideas come in the 15-minute windows on my laptop in my car between work, over the full days off in total solitude.
i started this project about a year ago, before I understood what I liked to play out and mix. ‘do it like that’ feels a lot more ‘me’ – i love tracks that make you wanna bounce and I feel like this one really does. more to come later this year.” – HARLEY GIRL.
With an upcoming four-track EP on the horizon, Harley Girl is quickly making waves in the Australian electronic scene. Expect more infectious, bounce-worthy beats throughout 2024.
