Harvey Sutherland Returns with New Album ‘Debt’ A Minimal Funk Exploration of Art and Value
Melbourne electronic artist and producer Harvey Sutherland has released his highly anticipated new album, Debt. Marking his first full-length project since 2022’s acclaimed Boy, Debt finds Sutherland diving deep into the cost of creativity in the digital age, both emotionally and financially.
The 10-track album strips back Sutherland’s signature disco-funk fusion into sleek, minimalist grooves. Collaborations with They Hate Change, Vicky Farewell, and Julian Hamilton (The Presets) bring vibrant character to the record, weaving soulful vocals and textured production across a landscape of microhoused funk and Y2K minimalism.
