Harvey Sutherland Shares New Single ‘Remember’ ft. Vicky Farewell Ahead of Forthcoming Album Debt
Melbourne producer, DJ and instrumentalist Harvey Sutherland has released his latest single Remember featuring Orange County multi-hyphenate Vicky Farewell, the newest taste of his highly anticipated sophomore album Debt, due Friday 10 October.
A moody and understated slice of 2-step, Remember drifts on weightless production, weaving in dubwise textures and Lovers Rock-inspired rhythms. The track finds Vicky Farewell’s ethereal yet commanding vocals circling around the memory of a lost lover, blurring the line between reality and imagination. Speaking on the collaboration, Harvey explains:
“Vicky is a true talent and aesthete, I am a huge fan of her quiet storm slow-jams and songs of longing, which completely suited this Lovers Rock-inspired beat I sent her.”
Farewell, who is signed to Mac DeMarco’s imprint Mac’s Record Label, brings an impressive pedigree to the track. A classically trained pianist and acclaimed songwriter, she boasts credits on Anderson .Paak’s GRAMMY-winning album Ventura and the GRAMMY-nominated Malibu, while carving her own lane as a unique pop auteur.
Remember follows a string of singles from Debt, including Body Language ft. Julian Hamilton, Hummingbird, Nobody Like U and Cigarette — tracks that have already earned international acclaim from BBC Radio 1, NTS Radio, mixmag, Resident Advisor and Rolling Stone AU.
Exploring the pressures and costs of creativity in the digital era, Debt arrives as the follow-up to Sutherland’s 2022 debut Boy. Currently wrapping up European shows, Harvey Sutherland will bring his new live A/V show to the U.S. this October before returning home for headline dates in Byron Bay, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Tickets are on sale now.
