Hayden James Has An Astronaut & Softcore Porn In “Just A Lover” Music Video

Electronic powerhouse Hayden James has delivered his latest music video in the form of a dark and brooding clip for his single Just A Lover.

The clip, directed by SPLINTR, features some seriously bleak colour grading in a similar vein to that of ‘Stranger Things’, paying homage to 80s and 90s film and TV.

Telling the story of two lovers in a dingy motel room, the music video introduces ideas of sex and lust, which pair alongside the sonically dark beats. With dreamlike sequences cutting between passionate encounters of the two characters, the video creates a perfect blend of audio and visual aspects of James’ work. Oh yeah, and there’s an astronaut floating through space…for some reason.

Just a Lover features the same iconic vocals found on his previous mega-hit Something About You, along side those punchy style bass lines and quiet piano fills. His latest track sees more growth from the budding beat maker, showing he’s willing to experiment with those darker and more serious tones of music.
