Hellcat Speedracer Drop Punchy New Single ‘Our Friends’ feat. Zoe Catterall
Sydney electronica duo Hellcat Speedracer have unveiled their latest single, ‘Our Friends’, featuring Zoe Catterall of indie-rock band The Buoys. The track serves as a second glimpse into their highly anticipated debut EP, No Chaos, No Future, set to drop on November 15.
The upbeat, synth-driven single brings a nostalgic 2010 indie dance vibe, perfect for summer road trips and house parties. According to the duo, the song’s punchy energy, marked by electro-pumped drums and fuzzy synths, was inspired by the feel of cranking up tunes in your car with friends.
“’Our Friends’ sounds like that 2010 indie dance banger that you whack on at a house party. With fuzzy synths and that electro pumped drums, we wanted track to feel like you were chucking on a CD in your mums Toyota Corolla and driving down to a mate’s house party with the windows down and music so loud it’s cracking out the speakers.” – Hellcat Speedracer.
The collaboration with Zoe Catterall came about after a spontaneous game of Mario Kart at Splendour In The Grass, where a shared love for each other’s music made the collaboration effortless.

“Working with Zoe was super easy, it was like we have been in a band forever. Our ideas and vision lined up straight away, which meant we finished the song pretty much in the first few hours.” – Hellcat Speedracer.
“Working with Oli and Alex was insanely fun! Our Friends came together so quickly and in such a fun way, there was lots of dancing to be had while writing it and the energy was super wholesome, and I love how you can hear that in the song.” – Zoe from The Buoys.
Their forthcoming EP, No Chaos, No Future, promises to be a sonic explosion with a nostalgic twist, featuring collaborations with artists like DZ Deathrays, KLP, and Julian Hamilton from The Presets.
Hellcat Speedracer are set to hit the stage at major festivals like Yours and Owls and Big Pineapple Fest, building anticipation for their debut release.
