High Tyde Yell “F*ck The Feelings” In Math-Rock Inspired Single “One Bullet”
English indie upstarts High Tyde have ripped the scene a new one with an electrifying new single One Bullet, lifted from their upcoming fourth EP ‘Real’. Fresh off an Australia record deal signing with Caroline Australia, the song is a bright and funky indie rocker full of fuzzed-up guitar riffs and mathy grooves.
After starting off with a muted guitar hook and off-beat drum grooves, the song pumps through a cool first verse spearheaded by counter riffs from guitarists Connor Cheetham and Spencer Tobias-Williams.
The chorus is a huge indie rock anthem, with a screeching lead guitar lick and precise breathy melodies from frontman Cody Thomas-Matthews. We’re then treated to an instrumental break, full of crazy dissonant guitar riffs and math-rock inspired rhythms complete with crashing cymbal work from Louis Semlekan-Faith.
At the tender ages of 18 and 19, High Tyde are an exciting group of faces on the scene. The band have been played in heavy rotation on Radio One and Radio X in the UK, and even nailed a place on Spotify’s prolific “New Music Friday” playlist.
High Tyde are set to release upcoming EP ‘Real’ on Friday 28th of October, so in the (short) meantime hit play on One Bullet below!
