Home Hearing Records Launches ‘Adventures in Sound Vol.1’ – A Bold New Chapter for Australian Electronic Music

Australia’s thriving underground electronic music scene takes centre stage with the release of Adventures in Sound Vol.1, the debut compilation from forward-thinking label Home Hearing Records. Available now digitally, the collection features eight emerging and established artists, each delivering an original track that reflects the vast creative spectrum of Australian electronic music in 2025.

The compilation showcases a wide array of styles—from ambient soundscapes to pulsing techno and experimental bass music—with standout contributions from artists like Abelisk, Rabbits On Saturn, R-10, and Suburban Spell. According to Abelisk, his track “HyperActive” offers “a maximalist take on the sounds of 90s ambient DnB and jungle,” marking a bold new direction for the artist. Meanwhile, Rabbits On Saturn’s “Vapour Eyes” is a textural experiment-turned-dancefloor weapon, crafted through complex resampling and pitch modulation.

R-10 contributes “Obsidian”, a minimal yet powerful detour from his usual sound, praised for its simplicity and impact. “This compilation brings together a fantastic group of artists from across Australia,” says label founder Simon Denis, who also contributes under his solo alias Simon D. “It highlights the best of Australian underground electronic in 2025.”

The tracklist is rounded out by Petrichor Project, Robodop Snei, Sequential Zero, and Suburban Spell, all bringing their unique sonic signatures to the project. Together, they create a listening journey that’s as diverse as it is cohesive.

Adventures in Sound Vol.1 is not just a compilation—it’s a statement. It signals the rise of Home Hearing Records as a serious platform for boundary-pushing electronic artists, and cements their place as a label to watch in Australia’s evolving music landscape.
