Impressed Recordings Partners with UK’s Republic of Music for Global Vinyl Distribution
Australian boutique vinyl label Impressed Recordings is stepping onto the global stage, announcing a worldwide distribution deal with the UK’s Republic of Music and unveiling their new management division, Impressed Music Management.
Since its launch in November 2023, Impressed Recordings has revolutionised Australia’s music industry by prioritizing vinyl—a format that accounted for 70% of physical music sales in Australia last year, totalling $42 million. Within its first year, the label pressed over 62,000 records and reached more than 7,500 fans across 21 countries, earning ARIA chart success for artists like The Terrys, DICE, and Briggs. Impressed also spearheaded the vinyl comeback for Australian rock icons Jet.
“What a year it has been. We’ve been on an incredible journey in such a short time, and we’re grateful for every step – even the mistakes have been a learning opportunity. We’re thankful to all the artists, labels, friends and most of all our customers for supporting us – and we’re excited for what the future holds.” – Luke Bevans, Managing Director

The global partnership with Republic of Music will expand Impressed’s retail footprint across Europe, the UK, and the US, while streamlining international access to limited Australian pressings. This move aims to enhance global visibility for homegrown talent while reducing costs for overseas buyers.
“Vinyl always felt like the ultimate way to experience the music I loved. It made me feel like I was a part of it, not just a passive listener. When Impressed started pressing vinyl, it felt like my childhood dreams and adult artistic self was coming to life. Working with artists and labels to create their art in physical form and then being able to give customers the same feeling I felt while listening to my parents record collection, is a crazy, chaotic and beautiful journey.” – Georgia O’Connor, Project and A&R Manager
Complementing this expansion, the new Impressed Music Management arm will represent emerging acts like Babitha, Beth & Blue, and Liminal, with a unique artist-as-shareholder approach. Managing Director Luke Bevans described this milestone as a testament to the label’s commitment to redefining artist support and amplifying Australian music globally.
