Itch-E and Scratch-E Celebrate 30 Years of ‘Itch-E Kitch-E Koo’ with Exclusive Remastered Reissue

Australian dance music icons Itch-E and Scratch-E mark a major milestone with the 30th anniversary reissue of their landmark album Itch-E Kitch-E Koo. Known for pioneering Australian electronic music, Paul Mac and Andy Rantzen have re-released this influential album through H2H Records, now available for the first time on all streaming platforms and in a special limited vinyl edition.

Originally released in 1993, Itch-E Kitch-E Koo is known for its classic tracks Sweetness and Light, Awaken, and The Point of No Return. This new release features a special update to The Point of No Return, with vocals by Australia’s own Kirin J Callinan, a bold artist known for his distinct lyrical edge. The album has been remastered by Kim Moyes from The Presets and Jörg Burger of Kompakt, breathing fresh life into the original sound.

“You only get one debut album, and we’re forever grateful that the technology at the time time was at a place that allowed us to form a new language. There are no rules on a debut, you don’t really know what you’re doing, and you’re still finding it. We just happened to be at the start of what felt like a new movement, and part of a family with the Volition crew and the dearly departed Andrew Penhallow. We’re also thrilled that Here To Hell forced us out of our armchairs to make this happen. It’s great to be a part of the world of The Presets instead of simply watching them clean up on TV. They’ve been a huge influence on Australian dance music and we’re proud to be part of their story too. Needless to say, we’re also very excited to still be alive for it”.Itch-E and Scratch-E.

The reissue highlights Itch-E and Scratch-E’s enduring impact on Australian electronic music and dance culture. Known for shaping the sound of the ‘90s with collaborations spanning various artists, the duo’s work resonates as strongly today, keeping their influential beats alive for a new generation of listeners and longtime fans alike.
