James Vincent McMorrow On The Rise With A Fresh Single
In the wake of his collaboration with Norwegian producer Kygo on I’m In Love, singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow has unleashed the leading single Rising Water from his forthcoming third album ‘We Move’!
Following a stint recording background vocals on Drake’s Hype, McMorrow enlisted the production skills of Nineteen85, the man behind Hotline Bling, for Rising Water.
Rising Water is a realisation of McMorrow’s childhood dream to “write songs like Neil Young, but produce them like The Neptunes”. His exquisite falsetto shines over the track’s OVO feel and hip-hop style. Complete with an upbeat, funky backdrop, this is one amazingly powerful tune, definitely deserving of its triple-tweet announcement.

Rising Water has set a high bar for McMorrow’s third studio album ‘We Move’. The ten-track album will be his most expansive release to date, opening up about his anxiety, mental fragility, and struggle against societal perceptions of mental illness.
The production credits creators of hip-hop, RnB, rock, and pop including Nineteen85 (Drake, DVSN), Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Years & Years), and Frank Dukes (Kanye West, Rihanna).
James Vincent McMorrow is set to follow up his successful 2014 tour with a performance slot at Splendour in the Grass 2016. If you’re one of the lucky few to have nabbed a ticket, don’t miss him!
