Jericco Calling It A Day, But Not Before One Final Show

Yesterday we found out that Melbourne’s beloved and respected hard rock/alt-rock outfit Jericco are calling it a day. But don’t get too bummed out because there is still one last chance to catch these legends in action!

Over the last seven years Jericco have formed a rather large family having played with three drummers, five guitarists, and even a keyboardist. As an independent band, making it in such a cut-throat industry was always going to be a challenge. For Jericco, their mission was to rise above adversity to produce their unique, high quality sound.

Establishing their place with their debut self-titled EP in 2009, Jericco went on to captivate an impressively loyal fan base with a second EP, a live album, and two full-length studio albums. Their latest album ‘Machine Made The Animal’ surpassed all expectations debuting at #3 on the iTunes Rock Chart and at #12 on the Australian Independent Record Label Chart. This truly stands as a testament to their musicianship, passion for quality, and unique approach to making music.

When it comes to the live show, the Melbourne 4-piece brings nothing short of a 100 per cent! Jericco are known for their exhilarating, high-energy live shows and have toured Australia extensively over the years. Having shared the stage with some of Australia’s biggest heavy acts such as Karnivool, The Getaway Plan, and Dead Letter Circus, Jericco proved they have what it took to make it alongside the heavy-hitters.

Taking to social media yesterday, frontman Brent McCormick provided a lengthy heartfelt message to fans explaining the situation to the best of his ability.

“It’s such a strange feeling making this decision as our band and this amazing group of people have been our life and our family for so many years. We put everything we had into Jericco and we made sacrifices that affected our families, friends & partners. Running an independent band takes its toll emotionally and financially and every member we have had past and present have offered everything they had without question,” said McCormick.

Jericco announced their last show ever at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Saturday, 5th of November as one last bang for this incredibly passionate and talented group. Catch Jericco’s Animal and final live show details below!
