Joan & the Giants Unveil New Single, ‘Feels Like Heartache’

Joan & the Giants are making waves again with their latest single, Feels Like Heartache. Following the success of their singles Good Time and Born In The Wrong Time earlier this year, they wowed fans at Optus Stadium, sharing the stage with P!NK and Tones and I. Now, they’re back with a poignant ballad that promises to tug at your heartstrings.

Feels Like Heartache marks a gentle departure from their recent energetic releases, showcasing a softer, more melancholic side. The track is an emotional rollercoaster, beginning with haunting acoustic guitar and layered vocals, building up to a powerful climax with a kick of drums. It’s a raw exploration of a doomed romance, capturing the pain and longing that comes with loving someone who may not be right for you.

Frontwoman Grace Newton-Wordsworth and guitarist Aaron Birch, who have been partners in both music and life for nearly a decade, poured their hearts into this song during a challenging period. They describe it as a brutally honest expression of their feelings, making it one of their most personal tracks yet.

“Feels like Heartache’ is the most deeply personal and honest song we’ve written. It’s centred around longing for the person you love more than anything but knowing it’s an addiction and isn’t good for you. Being brutally honest isn’t easy, but honesty to us is a very important thing, especially in our songwriting.” – Grace Newton-Wordsworth.

For those who crave music with depth and authenticity, Feels Like Heartache is a must-listen, embodying the heartfelt storytelling that Joan & the Giants are celebrated for.
