Joel Leggett Unveils ‘Light In The Dark’ Music Video – Watch It Here First

Joel Leggett has just dropped the official music video for his latest single Light In The Dark, and we’ve got the exclusive first look. The Central Coast singer-songwriter pairs his shimmering new track with a playful and heartfelt visual, marking a fresh chapter in his ever-evolving sound.

Crafted with long-time producer Jack Nigro (DMA’s, Skegss, The Terrys), Light In The Dark is a dynamic track rich in percussive layers and catchy hooks. Its meaning is left deliberately open-ended, with Joel describing it as a reflection on the quiet fade of mutual respect—whether between people, within ourselves, or with the world at large.

The video, inspired by a simple moment of sunlight hitting Joel’s wall during a morning coffee, captures a playful yet powerful atmosphere. Featuring intimate shadowplay and a lo-fi karaoke-style performance, the visual leans into the track’s introspective themes while delivering a charming, DIY aesthetic.

“The idea for the ‘Light In The Dark’ music video started when I was drinking my coffee one morning at home, and noticed the sunlight coming in against the wall. Naturally I started making shadow puppets which then sparked the idea to film a music video using my shadows against the wall to match with the song ‘Light In The Dark’.  It was a super fun music video to make and I’m stoked with how cool it looks. We shot it in a couple of hours with search media. The guys are really good at what they do so it made the whole process so easy and efficient” Joel Leggett.

This clip proves that inspiration can strike anywhere—and when it does, Joel Leggett knows how to turn it into something special. Watch the official video exclusively below.
