Jorja Smith Drops Bassline-Driven Single ‘The Way I Love You’ and Enters Her Rave Era

UK music powerhouse Jorja Smith kicks off 2025 with a bang, unveiling her genre-blurring new single ‘The Way I Love You’—a pulsing, bass-heavy track that captures the bold energy of her sonic evolution. Fresh off a sold-out North American tour and a whirlwind 48-hour stop in Sydney for Nike’s After Dark event, Smith proves she’s in full command of her artistry.

Produced alongside Maverick Sabre, Ed Thomas, and Shayk, the track leans into UK bassline influences with a nostalgic yet forward-facing sound. Packed with vibrant beats and a euphoric rhythm, it’s a head-nodding anthem built for both the club and late-night car rides. The accompanying video, directed by KC Locke, throws Smith into her rave era—paying homage to Sheffield’s legendary Niche Night Club, a key player in the Midlands bassline scene.

“The Way I Love You is just so much fun. It takes me back in time – there’s something nostalgic about it but now at the same time. I had the pleasure of working with Maverick Sabre, Ed Thomas and Shayk on this one. Every time I play it with my girls, I get so hyped – it’s a proper head-skanker.” Jorja Smith.

Following her recent collaborations with AJ Tracey, Shygirl, and Major League DJz, Smith continues to flex her versatility—seamlessly moving between R&B, garage, soul, and UK dance music.

As she prepares to embark on a UK and Ireland tour later this year, ‘The Way I Love You’ cements Jorja Smith’s position as one of the most dynamic voices in contemporary British music.
