“Everything I do, I want to do with integrity. That and honestly, are my absolute core values so when someone came along and said ‘originality in songwriting is just something we’re super passionate about’, I was really thrown because I feel the same. For them to go ahead and say something of mine lacked those elements, it really challenged me to reevaluate my approach. I still don’t believe what they were referring to wasn’t original, but I still wanted to use that moment to really own myself. Now, I wrote this song 3 years ago but it’s taken a few years for me to get where I wanted to be vocally and production-wise, but it’s also coming out at a very integral point of my personal life. After a long journey, I am finally embracing my bisexuality and being even more unapologetic about who I am and what I have to offer to the world.” – JOSHUA.
