Just When We Thought We Knew British India, Release New Groovy Track
Get on your dancing shoes, Melbourne’s indie-rock favourites British India have returned this week with a brand-new single, I Thought We Knew Each Other.
The new song sounds how a summer festival feels, with catchy drum beats and guitar riffs making us reminisce of grooving under sunny skies and moonlit nights on grassy amphitheatres. Frontman Declan Melia’s vocals shine throughout, as the song builds from its broken down, warm verses into the intensity of massive choruses.
I Thought We Knew Each Other marks the commencement of a new era for the band, who just last week were finishing off what will be their sixth album in just ten years.
Just yesterday, Declan and the band’s guitarist Nic (guitarist) spoke with Triple J during the single’s debut spin, saying the new album aims to “focus on the live aspect of the music” more than ever.
I Thought We Knew Each Other comes alongside the announcement of a ridiculous number of gig dates in the coming months, the perfect opportunity to get your British India dance on once again.
